So... snow hits the valley floor and life as we know it changes! It may not be much to east coasters or midwesters, but THIS snow is a lot to us northwesters.
These next images were from 12/17. The snow was not sticking around and it was already starting to melt a bit.
The next couple of days the snow was not sticking to much and the roads were slushy/slippery, until evening when it would ice up a bit.
These images are from 12/20. The snow has finally arrived!!!
It took most of the day for the snow to REALLY pile up... so I decided to head out after sunset. Me, tripod and camera. We had fun ;) Night of 12/20
Images of our BEAUTIFUL neighborhood in Hillsboro Orenco area.
Those are some great pictures. I need to head over to Safeway to get me some batteries so I can take more pictures! Love ya... hope you guys are staying warm!
Jebediah and I found each other as kids and fell in love. Going on 6 years of marriage, 13 years of friendship and sharing a lifetime of memories together. CHEEZEE but I love it!
The Twins
ESPN and HOUSTON are litter mates, our twins. ESPN (Espen) is boy through and through. His favorite toy is the ball, always ready to chase and catch it. He is the most talkative dog I know. When he wants our attention or gets excited, ESPN doesn’t bark but talks. Houston is the sweetest thing (unless you’re a stranger). We call her a “little bean” because she very light and petite in comparison to her brother and “cat dog” because her favorite place to be is curled up tight on the edge of the couch looking out the window. Don’t let all Houston’s sweetness foul you, she takes her brother down in all their fights. Love’s they’re, and hopefully forever they’ll live.
Double B ~ Baby Bird
CESSNA is our 17 year old Blue and Gold Macaw. To many who enter our home he seems loud and obnoxious, but to Jeb and I… he’s all that and more ☺. He’s a pet that requires lots of patients, and with that we’re rewarded with a unique and beautiful bird. Cessna has a wide vocabulary, from “is that good” when he is given a treat to a “bless you” when someone sneezes. Saying “Ayme” has always been a favorite and now he is learning “Eb” (something about those J’s is hard for him to pronounce). Cessna even learns to change with the times; growing up it was always a “hello” you’d hear after a phone rings, but now he says “hello” when a cell phone vibrates. Attitude and all he is for sure the craziest pet I’ve owned.
